My life , my dream, my love

Let me tell you about me, the founder of Orchid Hunter,  I am Maurille, a Mom of two wonderful children and I live togheter with my husband and my children in The Netherlands. ( You know that tiny country near the sea) 

I started my working career with a degree in fashion and scriptwriting.  Both of those passions have led me to different freelance jobs: at a trend agency, designing fabrics for a Parisian agency, working for a photographer to name some and as a accessories designer working on commision base only.... And then I became pregnant and I started hunting for the best and most unique stuff for my baby, since she deserved nothing more then the best since she was unique herself too (as are ALL babies). By unique and original products I mean products that are different and beautiful, or are made by designer moms (and there are many of them out there) And last but not least, products that can help your baby in any way: problem solvers. These I find very important and helpful and there are many product out there made by Moms who want to make a difference.

Since most baby products are mass produced I started making things myself, clothes, accessories for her room, funny hats...And so my company Orchid Hunter was born. Orchid Hunter stands for the hunt for unique and beautiful products for our beautiful and unique children.

I started selling my designs and in the meanwhile was still on the hunt for those unique products. I love it. There are so many great products out there you just have to find them. And now with not one but two small children I want to share my hunting and my findings with you. Since everybody wants the best and original and defenitely unique things for their babies. I started writing the reviews with the best products already picked out for you. I organise “test and try” meetings where I show all those great products and you can touch, feel and try everything out. If you would like me to come to your mom’s group let me know.( so far,only available in the Netherlands)
