Babylegs started when inventor and founder Nicole
Donnelly, a stay-at-home mom in Seattle, WA, had a big idea
when she wanted to keep her 8-month old daughter’s legs warm
while allowing her diaper rash some “airtime.”She
took a creative approach to healing Sara’s rash by creating
legwarmers to protect her sweet baby’s legs while letting
her enjoy some naked bum time.
In April of 2005, Donnelly started making leg warmers
for her daughter Sara, for Sara’s friends, and then for
strangers who she met online through parenting message boards.
Soon her company BabyLegs was born.
Within 12 months, it became a runaway success in 20
countries thanks to a simple concept and a supportive online
parent community.
